Lowering the Trailer Jacks

Once the trailer is hooked up, you can lower the trailer jacks.

Step 1: Locate the trailer jack handle. It is usually located on the side or bottom of the jack.

Step 2: Turn the handle counterclockwise to lower the jack.

Step 3: Continue turning the handle until the trailer is at the desired height.

Step 4: Once the trailer is at the desired height, release the handle.

Step 5: If the trailer jack has a lock pin, insert it into the hole on the side of the jack to secure it in place.

Be sure to lower the jacks evenly so that the weight of the trailer is distributed evenly. Once the jacks are lowered, remove the wheel chocks.

Last But Not Least…

Before you start driving, it is important to perform a safety check to make sure that the trailer is properly hooked up.
