Who is Exploring the Local Life
We are a Latino RVing family of four (Robert, Jessica, Daniel, and Nadia) that learns and travels together in our 2016 Forest River Grey Wolf 26DBH Travel Trailer.
Somehow, we are balancing life, fun, and roadschooling while handling unexpected RV and truck repairs and rainy days. Keeping a positive attitude is key and we are reminded every day why we are doing things differently.
We have one life and we are going to make the most of it.
Why are we an RVing Family?
We, Robert and Jessica, both have jobs that allow us the freedom to live our dream of travel, adventure, and togetherness.
Our children are Roadschooled and are excited to learn about life and the world through living it each and every day.
Our goal is to follow our passions and live the life that we want.
We do not want to live to work, we want to enjoy our lives to the fullest until it overflows.
We want to encourage others to do find and live their passions, whether that means hitting the road, training for a run, writing that book you’ve been dreaming about, or spending more time with the ones you love.
Only you can identify your dreams and find a way to make them come true.
Will it be perfect, of course not, but don’t let your life slip away…
What can you expect from this RVing Family?
Our hope is that you learn that you can RV full time too and that you can learn from our mistakes and experiences.
We hope you find encouragement and answers as you check out our blog and videos.

Hello! Just came across your videos and now catching up with your blog. We are a family looking to go full time next spring. Was wondering what you both do, particularly Robert, for a living? My husband is a nurse so he is looking to be come a travel nurse but just curious as to how you all earn a living.
Hi Michelle – I thought we had responded to this!! I work from home as a QA Specialist and Document Control Specialist for a laboratory. I have been working from home for 5 years now. My hubby is an aircraft dispatcher and he actually has to work in the office!! We did a video where we talk about how we make it work. I know a lot of folks that do travel nursing and really enjoy it. Here is the video where we explain how we RV and work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrT91nSkaYo
Enjoyed your article on 12 things you need when buying your RV. We are going to begin full time RVing in August. Thank you for your suggestions.
Hey Dianekb!! How are things going? Are you well on your way to be ready to hit the road in August? So excited for you!!! Glad that you found our article helpful!!
How do you obtain a drivers license if you do not have a permanent address ?
My family actually had a home in Florida and when we started RVing, we simply moved all our information to my parent’s home. Doctor’s appointments and other things are done in Florida with the exception of any illness/emergencies we may experience on the road. We also spend several months every year in Florida. I did find an article on how to establish a domicile and get a driver’s license while RVing…it is specific to Florida: https://www.escapees.com/education/domicile/florida/
Just discovered this site and am reading about the books you recommend. I was going to buy the first one, but I read the author’s overview of it on Amazon. My wife and I are interested in living in an RV parked in a campground; Alyssa Padgett lists that among the things she doesn’t cover. That’s okay. I might buy it anyway.
How do you find other homeschool parents that travel full time?
I am always curious to know what kind of jobs allow you both to work full time from the RV and road …..
